Latest update creates bigger problems than it solves

This app was great until they released the latest update. Before I could easily move the map around. I could use the locator button to zoom to my location. The bus or train locations would automatically update every few seconds.

Now the app runs extremely slow. The locator button does not work at all. If I try to move the map or zoom in or out, there is several seconds of lag before anything happens. After a minute or two the bus or train locations stop updating. In order to get updated bus or train locations, I have to completely close and restart the app.
